Hair Clump Operator Property Editor

Displaces points on guide curves towards or away from their average center.

To apply: Select some points, tips, or strands on a hair object, choose Modify Clump from the Hair panel, and then drag the mouse in the 3D views.

The farther you drag the mouse, the more the components are displaced. Drag to the right to clump together, or to the left to move the components apart. You can continue clicking and dragging to add more clump operators.

To display: Select the hair object, click the Selection button on the Select panel, and then click the Hair Clump Operator icon.

For more information, see Clumping Hairs Together or Fanning Them Apart [ Hair ].

Mute

Toggles the deformation on and off without affecting the values of other parameters.

Clump Factor

The displacement of the vertices. Positive values displace the vertices towards their average center, and negative values displace them away from their center.

If you animate this value, you cannot use dynamics on the hair.
