Set Wall Data

 
 
 

Creates the geometry for a wall in a CrowdFX simulation, and sets data used for collision avoidance. Instead of adding this compound manually, use the CrowdFX Crowd Draw Wall command on the ICE toolbar to make sure that the wall gets added to the correct model and group of the CrowdFX simulation.

Exit Points

Controls which of the wall's exit points actors can move to when they are blocked by the wall:

  • Both Sides
  • Right Side
  • Left Side

Show Exit Point

Toggles the display of the wall's exit points in the 3D views.

ID

An identifier for the wall. By default, this is -1 but you can set it to a unique value to identify a particular wall for use with your own custom logic. This value is stored as CrowdFX_Wall_ID.

Push Factor

The distance of the exit points from the wall's geometry. This value is not used when using nulls as exit points.

Dimensions

Controls the wall's geometry.

Width

The wall's length in its local X direction.

Thickness

The wall's length in its local Z direction.

Height

The wall's length in its local Y direction.

Exit Left Null/Exit Right Null

Lets you use nulls instead of the wall's built-in exit points. This allows more complex setups, such as a room with four walls and a single opening, with all walls specifying the opening as their exit point.

Left/Right Null Name

A name to prefix to Left/Right Reference to fully resolve the name.

Left/Right Reference

A reference to a null to use as the left/right exit point.
