Slices the self or the connected topology with a plane, and replaces the self's topology.

Mute

Disables the slice.

Slice Mode

How to slice:

  • Slice simply adds edges.
  • Slice Using Collapse Vertices (Convex Mesh Only) collapses all vertices above the slice plane, which caps the holes in simple cases.
  • Slice Using Add Polygon (Accurate) deletes polygons above the slice plane, and caps the holes using a more accurate but slower method.

Mute Cap

Disables capping of holes.

Plane Origin

A point that defines the slicing plane's position.

Plane Normal

A vector that defines the slicing plane's normal.

Negate

Inverts the plane normal.

From Transform

Connect the name of an object to In Name to use its global transform to define the slicing plane. If anything is connected to this port, it overrides the From Vector settings.

Accurate Mode Options

Tolerance

Tolerance for distinguishing previously existing holes from newly created ones. Decrease this value if previously existing holes are being capped.

Triangulate Cap

Triangulates the cap polygons.

Max Nb of Cap

The maximum number of caps to create. Use the lowest possible value for best performance.

Attribute

Specify the name of an attribute that stores whether vertices are on the slicing plane. This attribute is used internally, and you can also use it in other parts of your tree.

If there is more than one instance of this compound on the same object, change the attribute name so that they do not overwrite each other.
