Add or remove a paint layer mask

To add a paint layer mask

1. In the Paint Layers window, select the paint layer you want to mask, or select one of the layer masks of a paint layer.
2. Do any of the following:
   • Click > New Layer Mask.
   • Right-click the paint layer or layer mask and select New Layer Mask from the pop-up menu that appears.
   • Click in the Paint Layers window toolbar.

   A new layer mask with the same resolution and bit-depth as the selected layer is created and added under the layer. If the paint layer already has existing mask layers, the new layer mask is added at the top.

To delete a paint layer mask

1. Select the layer mask and do any of the following:
   • Click > Delete Selected.
   • Right-click the paint layer mask and select Delete Selected from the pop-up menu that appears.
   • Click in the Paint Layers window toolbar.
