Turn paint layer mask on and off.
To merge a paint layer mask into a paint layer
- Ensure that the paint layer mask(s) associated with the paint layer you want to merge into are set to visible.
- Right-click the layer mask and select .
NoteLayer masks are merged from the bottom up, which means if you have multiple layer masks associated with a paint layer, the
order of the layer masks is important. If the layer masks have different blend modes, re-ordering the layer masks, or merging
some, but not all of the layer masks associated with a paint layer could produce a different visual effect.
To merge all paint layer masks together
- Ensure that at least one of the paint layer masks that you want to merge is set to Visible.
- Right-click a layer mask and select .
NoteThis option will merge all layer masks associated with a paint layer, regardless of whether they are set to visible or not.
