Move a paint layer mask

You can drag layer masks to rearrange them within the list in the Layers window. You can drag a layer mask to another paint layer, making it the child of that paint layer, or you can drag it to the paint layer level.

To move a layer mask

In the Layers window, ensure the Layers display button is set to Paint.
Select the layer mask you want to move, then drag it to a new location.

NoteIf you drag a layer mask to a paint layer that already has a layer mask, the layer mask that you move becomes the primary layer mask.
