Some aspects of the Autodesk® MotionBuilder® software product installation process may be unique to the MotionBuilder product.

The MotionBuilder sample files contained in the ClipArt folder are not installed with the software. The ClipArt folder needs to be copied onto your system.

Whether you are installing the MotionBuilder software product from the DVD media, via the Download Manager or the web installer, or the RPM utility, the ClipArt folder does not get installed by default. You need to copy the ClipArt folder (located under the Content folder) to the desired location on your system.

If you install MotionBuilder 2014 on a Windows OS from the software DVD media:

  • MotionBuilder System Requirements and Certified Hardware

    Before you choose to install the MotionBuilder software product, verify your system meets the minimum system requirements and your hardware meets the minimum requirements to run MotionBuilder.

  • Installing MotionBuilder on Windows OS

    The installation, activation, and registration of the MotionBuilder software on a Windows OS is identical to the installation and registration of other Autodesk software products running on a Windows OS.

  • Installing MotionBuilder on Linux OS

    You install the MotionBuilder software product on a Linux OS by either using the installation wizard or the RPM (Red Hat Package Manager) utility.
