When you import a model, it appears in the Viewer window. The Viewer window enables you view the current scene, select, transform and animate the elements, and set various options for displaying the scene. It also enables you to apply effects, constraints, and devices, and to measure and display the distance between two objects.
The Viewer window is also the space where your scenes are played, the point of view that is rendered, and the stage on which the animation and models are seen.

You populate the Viewer window by loading files, merging files or assets, dragging elements into the Viewer window via other MotionBuilder windows. You can also Alt-drag items from the Viewer window into the Navigator window, or other windows. For example, you can Alt-drag a model into a Simple constraint cell, or drag models onto a Story Animation track.
