pymel.core.context.curveSketchCtx

curveSketchCtx(*args, **kwargs)

The curveSketchCtx command creates a new curve sketch context, also known as the “pencil context”.

Flags:
Long name (short name) Argument Types Properties
degree (d) int ../../../_images/create.gif ../../../_images/query.gif ../../../_images/edit.gif
 
Valid values are 1 or 3Flag can appear in Create mode of commandFlag can have multiple arguments, passed either as a tuple or a list.

image2 (i2) unicode  
   
image3 (i3) unicode  
   
name (n) unicode  
   

Derived from mel command maya.cmds.curveSketchCtx

Example:

import pymel.core as pm

# To create a new sketch context, which creates degree 3 curves:
pm.curveSketchCtx( "pencilContext", degree=3 )
# Result: u'pencilContext' #
pm.setToolTo("pencilContext")

# To query the degree of an existing context:
pm.curveSketchCtx( "pencilContext",q=True, degree=True )
# Result: 3 #

# To edit the degree of an existing context:
pm.curveSketchCtx( "pencilContext", e=True, degree=1 )
# Result: u'pencilContext' #
