nMesh > Rest Shape

 
 
 

Specifies how the rest shape of an nCloth object is set. An nCloth’s rest shape determines the rest lengths and bend angles for simulation. It does not determine the position or translation of the nCloth object, but instead determines the shape the nCloth object is trying to achieve through stretch, compression and bend resistance.

Rest Shape > Set Rest to Start Shape

Sets the selected nCloth’s rest shape for simulation to the state of the nCloth’s input mesh at the start frame.

Rest Shape > Connect Input Mesh to Rest Shape

Sets the selected nCloth’s rest shape for simulation to the state of the nCloth’s input mesh at the current frame.

Rest Shape > Connect Selected Mesh to Rest Shape

Sets the selected nCloth’s rest shape for simulation to the state of another selected mesh (that has matching topology).
