NoteIf you want to render , , or mental ray for Maya raytraced shadows, raytracing must be turned on.
By default, mental ray for Maya raytracing is turned on, which means that you can just proceed with the global illumination
or caustics workflow.
To turn on raytracing and set attributes
- Select the menu set.
- Open the window.
Click the Select Window > Rendering Editors > Render Settings or click the window icon.
- Select the mental ray for Maya render.
- Click the tab.
- Turn on .
