Troubleshoot depth map shadow quality with rapid scanline rendering

 
 
 

The quality of depth map shadows with Rapid scanline rendering is decreased compared to the quality of depth map shadows and default scanline rendering.

Workaround

In the Attribute Editor (light shape node), in the mental ray > Shadow Map Overrides section, increase the number of Samples.
