To map a to an object
- In a material’s , map the utility to the attribute.
- In the ’s , map a 2D texture to the attribute.
- Assign the material to the object and adjust the ’s attributes as necessary.
Tip
IPR-render to view the result as you adjust attributes.
To use the attribute
- Turn on. Since the attribute’s default color is black as well as the ’s , Maya masks out only the areas containing the most black.
- Change the color in the . In the following, Maya masks out any color containing red or pink and replaces it with the ’s .
Note
When bump mapping textures, you must make manual, explicit connections. Bump map the texture, then manually connect the to the stencil .
