Lists nodes by file path. The supports displaying absolute and relative paths.

Lists nodes by file type. Nodes are grouped by registered node types. The audio, file, image plane, and reference node types
are initially registered. The type label of each registered element is used in this list. See
Register elements with the File Path Editor.

Repaths the selected elements using the criteria from the last repathing operation. Select
to open the
Repath window.

Performs a search and replace operation on the selected elements using the parameters from the last operation. Select

Replace String tool.

Show
The menu contains options that control the elements that are included in the browser. The menu updates dynamically when you register a new node type. See Register elements with the File Path Editor.
If an element in the menu is enabled, that type of element appears in the browser. If an element is disabled, that type of element does not appear in the browser and is not affected by repath or
replace string operations.
The and options let you quickly enable and disable all of the options.
NoteThe top level of the
File Path Editor browser takes all of the paths for all elements within the Maya scene into account, regardless of the settings in the menu.

The context-sensitive menu is accessed by -clicking an element in the browser list.
