Mapping Controls

 
 
 

The Map Translations and Map Rotations options adjust the offsets between your character's Custom rig effectors and its skeleton joints. Tweak and refine the Mapping Controls to ensure the retargeting works properly on your Custom rig. The Mapping Controls are not available until a cell is selected in the Character representation. The XYZ offsets are only available when the corresponding mapping method is enabled (checked). By default, IK effectors map translations and rotations, while FK effectors only map translations.

After you have mapped an effector, you can edit its mapping method in the following ways:

TipTo reset the Mapping Controls to the default values, toggle the Map Rotations or Map Translations checkbox on and off.
