Quick layout buttons

 
 
 

The quick layout buttons display just below the Tool Box and let you switch between useful panel layouts.

To... Do this:
Switch to a different layout.

Click the layout buttons.

Change which layout buttons display.

-click a button and select a different layout from the pop-up menu.

For example, if you frequently use the Script Editor, replace the default Persp/Graph/Hypergraph button with the Script Editor/Persp layout button .

Edit the current layout. -click a layout thumbnail and select Edit Layouts from the pop-up menu to open the Panel editor.
Change which editor displays in any panel of the current layout. Select a different editor for any panel from the corresponding drop-down menus below the other Quick layout buttons .
