The lets you manage your scene's file paths. This tool gives you the ability to list file paths being used in your scene, identify
unresolved file paths, and repath multiple files at once. If you are preparing a scene for use by someone with a different
directory structure or platform, you can path to non-existent files.
NoteTo repath a reference node, the target file must exist. Unlike other node types in the , you cannot repath references to non-existent files.
To repath a file using the File Path Editor
- In the (), select the file path(s) you want to change.
TipYou can select multiple file paths using Ctrl or Shift-click.
- Click .
- In the window that appears, enter a new file path in the field manually or click to navigate to a new location.
- (Optional) If you want to preview the results of the repathing operation before it is performed, click
The window appears and displays detailed information about the impending reapthing operation. See Actions Preview window for more information.
