Autosave a file

To save your scene automatically in timed intervals

Select Window > Settings/Preferences > Preferences.
The Preferences window appears.
In the Categories, under the Settings section, select Files/Projects.
In the Autosave section, turn on Enable.
Set any additional options and click the Save button.

Note

The autosave file has the same name as the source file, followed by the word AUTO-SAVE and an incrementing number.
