Troubleshoot color management

If you compare your render results between:

using the sRGB (gamma corrected) color space (Maya 2011/2012/2013)
applying gamma correction (pre Maya 2011)

you may notice a slight difference between the two. This is expected behavior.

The calculations used for color management are not simply a multiplication by 0.4545; therefore, your render result may appear differ from that using the color management feature.
