You may occasionally need to stop a command line render before it has finished.
To stop a command line render on Windows
- Open the Task Manager by doing one of the following:
- Press ++ and the Task Manager button.
- an empty space on the taskbar and select Task Manager from the menu that appears.
- Click the Processes tab.
- Select the Render.exe process.
- Click the End Process button.
To stop a command line render on Mac OS X
- You can quit a command line render from the dock. Right-click the Maya Renderer application in the dock and select Quit from
the pop-up menu.
To stop a command line render on Linux
- From a shell, list the top processes by entering:
- Note the render process ID.
- To stop the process, enter:

You can use the Ctrl+C command to abort a batch render.
