This node lets you blend multiple geometry caches. cacheBlend is automatically created and added to your scene when an object has more than one enabled geometry cache. See cacheBlend and Blend and set the weighting of geometry caches.
Input Weight values let you increase or decrease the amount of influence geometry cache nodes have on their objects’ deformations and they also let you specify how those deformations are blended.
If your object’s geometry caches overlap in time, then their Input Weight values determine what percentage of each cache’s deformations are used by the object during playback. When a geometry cache node’s weight is 1.0, it is blended with the current object’s other caches and it fully contributes to the object’s deformations during playback. When a geometry cache node’s weight is 0.0, it is not blended with the current object’s other caches and it does not contribute to the object’s deformations during playback. You can animate your geometry cache node’s weights to help smooth the transitions between blended caches.
Also, geometry cache weights are normalized such that when overlapping caches have the same weight, then the caches equally contribute to their object’s deformations in their blend regions on playback.
