Edit the MEL or Python script associated with a shelf item

Select Window > Settings/Preferences > Shelf Editor.
In the Shelves section, select the shelf containing the item.
In the Shelf Contents section, click the name of the item.
Click the Command tab (or Double Click Command tab if the item is activated with a double-click).
Edit the commands in the text box and press .
NoteYou can also right-click any Shelf item and select Edit. The Shelf Editor appears where you can edit the commands in the Command or Double Click Command tabs.
