Import a paint layer

You can import bitmap images as paint layers using any of the image file formats that Mudbox supports. For a list of supported image formats, see Image file formats.

1. In the Layers window, ensure the display button at the top is set to Paint.
2. Do either of the following:
   • From the Layers window menu (), select Import Layer.
   • Right click in the Layers window and select Import Layer from the menu that appears.

3. The Open window appears.

4. Browse to the directory, select the image, and click Open.
