You can work concurrently
on the same texture map using Mudbox and Adobe® Photoshop® . This
lets you use the wider range of image editing features in Photoshop
and the 3D painting power of Mudbox.
Launch Photoshop and Mudbox.
Open the texture image you want to edit
in both applications (Photoshop and Mudbox).
To import any Mudbox-based edits made
to the texture image into Photoshop, do the following:
Save the scene file within Mudbox so
the texture image file gets saved to disk.
Refresh the texture image in Photoshop
by re-opening it using File > Open Recent.
Edit the image in Photoshop and save
the image.
To import any Photoshop-based edits made
on an image into Mudbox, do the following:
Save the texture image file in Photoshop.
Refresh the texture image in Mudbox by
selecting the corresponding paint layer within Mudbox and selecting Refresh
Selected from the paint layer menu.
NoteThe steps described
above can be adapted for workflows between other image editing applications
and Mudbox. The Refresh Selected feature updates the
image in Mudbox with the most recent version saved on disk.
