The following describes known limitations that are now fixed for sculpting and sculpt layers.
Grab tool misses vertices on triangle-based models
Using the Grab tool on triangle-based polygonal models could result in some vertices being left untouched (despite their appearance within the brush ring). This has been fixed.
Grab tool breaks model symmetry
Multiple operations of the Grab tool with the Mirror setting turned on would eventually result in model symmetry being lost. This has been fixed.
Mudbox exits when attempting to import model with different vertex count
Importing a model as a sculpt layer caused Mudbox 2009 to exit without warning when the imported model’s vertex count differed from the model within the 3D View. Vertex counts must be identical when importing models as sculpt layers. This has been fixed and a warning message now displays under these circumstances.
Undo does not fully revert sculpt layer to previous state
The Edit > Undo feature would not fully revert sculpting back to its previous state whenever the opacity of the sculpt layer was set to any value other than 100. This has been fixed.
Undo on mask or erase operations causes affected faces to disappear
Using Edit > Undo immediately after masking or erasing any sculpting on a layer would cause the affected faces to disappear and/or cause Mudbox to exit without warning. This has been fixed.
