The following describes known limitations for the system preferences in Mudbox 2009.
The Paint section within the Preferences window doesn’t appear unless a paint layer exists in the scene.
Workaround: Create a paint layer then select the Preferences window again and the Paint section will be visible.
Small File Size preference not working
Turning on the Small File Size preference in the Preferences window and then saving a file can display the following messages: Creating Zip file failed, Compressing Zip file failed.
