Installing Mudbox on Windows
 
 
 
NoteIf you have an another version of Mudbox 2009 installed (for example, a trial version), you must uninstall it, and delete the Mudbox user settings before installing this version. For more information, see Uninstalling Mudbox 2009 trial version and Deleting Mudbox 2009 user settings.
  1. Close all applications before installing Mudbox.
    NoteYou must be logged in as a system administrator to install Mudbox.
  2. Insert the Mudbox DVD into your computer’s DVD-ROM drive.

    The Install Mudbox window appears. If the installation does not start automatically, double-click the autorun.exe file on the DVD-ROM.

  3. In the Install Mudbox window, select the product you want to install (32 bit or 64 bit), then click Install.

    The License Agreement window appears.

  4. Read the License Agreement and click I ACCEPT to accept the terms and conditions, then click Next.

    If you do not accept the terms, click I REJECT to abort the installation.

  5. The Install Shield Wizard window appears and prepares for the software installation process. Click Next.
  6. In the destination folder window that appears, do one of the following:

  7. In the Ready to Install the Program window that appears, click Install.

    Mudbox installs on your computer. The progress of the installation is shown by a status bar.

  8. After the application and related components are installed, the InstallShield Wizard Completed window appears. Click Finish.

    Mudbox is installed.

  9. Activate your version of Mudbox as follows:

Uninstalling Mudbox 2009 trial version

If you have an another version of Mudbox 2009 for Windows installed (for example, a trial version), you must uninstall it before installing this version. Follow the uninstall instructions for your operating system:

NoteEarlier versions of the Mudbox 2009 trial for Windows require that the user settings be deleted prior to installing the licensed version. See the section below for instructions on deleting Mudbox user settings.

Deleting Mudbox 2009 user settings

Earlier versions of the Mudbox 2009 for Windows require that the user settings be deleted prior to installing a newer licensed version. This step is not required for Mudbox running on Mac OS X.
