Accessing the Effects Modules

NoteNot applicable to Backdraft Conform.

To access effects modules such as Action or the Colour Corrector, you must first select the clips that you want to modify with the module. Some modules only require a front clip, while others accept various combinations of front, back, and matte clips. The clips you select when entering a module must all be of the same resolution.

To access a module:

  1. In the EditDesk menu, disable the current option in the Menu Priority box.

Buttons for accessing effects modules are displayed.

  4. Select the source clip(s) by clicking on the frame number or timecode of any frame in the clip.

Any clip on the EditDesk can be a source clip. The order in which you select the source clips is important. The colour of the arrow cursor indicates which clip you should select next.

Red The first (front) source clip.
Green The second (back) source clip (where required).
Blue The key-in (matte) clip (where required).

After selecting the source clips, the cursor changes to a white arrow.

  5. Select the destination for the clip containing the effect you will create in the module by clicking anywhere on the Record Area or the Source Area.

    The module opens.
