About A/V Tools

Use the Audio/Visual (A/V) tools to apply effects and formatting changes to video and audio clips. For example, mix down and timestretch audio, create filter effects, burn in timecode, degrain a clip, and interleave the frames of two clips.

You can work on clips of any resolution with the A/V tools. However, when working on more than one clip, such as a front and matte clip, the clips must be of the same resolution. The clips can be of any scan mode — the result clip will have the same scan mode as the front clip. Note that you may get unexpected results if you mix field 1, field 2, and progressive scan clips in some tools. In these cases, a warning message is displayed (not applicable to Backdraft Conform).
