Combining Channels in a Clip

Use the Combine command to combine individual colour space channels of three source clips (RGB, YUV, or HSL). To generate the new clip, the Combine command uses one channel from each of the clips selected.

To combine channels:

  1. Select FX from the A/V Tools box, and then click Combine.
  2. From the Colour Space Type box, select which type of colour space you want to combine.
  3. Select the first source clip. The R, Y, or H channel information of this clip will be used in the generated clip.
  4. Select the second source clip. The G, U, or S channel information of this clip will be used in the generated clip.
  5. Select the third source clip. The B, V, or L channel information of this clip will be used in the generated clip.
  6. Select a destination in the Source Area or Record Area.

    The result clip appears in the selected destination.
