ARRIRAW File Support
 
 
 

You can now import ARRIRAW files (.ari) using a Wiretap Gateway running on Linux or Mac OS X. Both single and numbered file sequences are supported. This section describes the available transcoding options

NoteDecoding ARRIRAW files is a CPU-intensive task and performance is not real-time. Generating proxy or Transcoding to DPX files may the only options to get real-time playback.

Camera button Enable to reset the Transcode panel and use the Camera data embedded in the ARRIRAW file.

Debayering box Set the debayering options for both Full and Proxy streams. Higher resolution settings (Full) consume more computing resources than lower resolution settings (Fourth), although the impact isn't as great as for RED debayering options.

Crispness field Set the cutoff steepness value of the downscaler. Default is 1.0.

Aspect Ratio box Set the aspect ratio of the media. Only used when rendering to Wiretap Server; the Viewer does not show the clip at the defined aspect ratio. Default is Ratio from File Header.

RGB Primaries box Set the colour space of the media. Camera RGB uses the raw values from the camera sensor.

Gamma Curve box Set the gamma curve of the media.

Use the Colour Settings section to set the options that modify the look of the media.

ISO box Set the ISO of the media.

Colour Temperature box Set the Colour Temperature using either the Kelvin or the Gain fields. When Gain is selected, the Kelvin field is greyed out.

Kelvin field Set the look of the media as a function of colour temperature.

Gain fields Set the look of the media as a function of user defined white balance parameters.

Timecode box Set which timecode read from the ARRIRAW file Lustre must use with the media.
