Do one of the following:

• Copy an existing paint color from the 3D View using the Eyedropper. For more information see Sample color on a model.
• Select the color using the Paint Tool Color window while editing the Color property for any of the Paint Tools properties as follows:

1. Display the properties window for the Paint Tools brush by clicking the tool on the Paint Tools tray.
2. In the Paint Brush properties, click the colored box beside the Color property.

   The Paint Tool Color window appears.

3. In the Paint Tool Color window you can either select a preset color from the array of color tiles or create a custom color by clicking the color palette.
4. Save a custom color by clicking an empty custom color tile, choosing your custom color, then clicking Add to Custom Colors.
