You can copy (sample) a
color from a bitmap image using the Color Chooser.
- Click the Color box
in the Paint Brush properties window
to display the Color Chooser and select the Image tab.
- Do either of the following:
- Click the Load... button
and use the file browser to select the image you want to sample.
- Drag and drop the image you want to sample
into the empty area labeled Drop Image Here.
A thumbnail of the image
appears in the empty image area. Images larger than this area are
scaled to fit. If the image has a different aspect ratio, the remaining
space is filled with a medium gray color.
- Click on the image to display a magnifying
marker at the cursor location. The center of the cross-hair indicates
the selected pixel.
This marker persists
while the stylus/mouse button remains pressed and updates the color
in the Color History box as the marker
is moved across the image.
- Releasing the stylus/mouse button selects
the current pixel color.
