Using the Index

The index contains keyword entries with links to the topics where each entry is discussed.

To find a topic using the index:

  1. In the Index, click a letter. Click a link to show that topic.
  2. You can also enter a keyword in the search box and click the View button.

The first occurrence of your keyword is displayed. To see another occurrence of your keyword, click the Next button.

NoteThe View and Next buttons find entries that match your keyword or phrase exactly. The matching is case-insensitive, and can be within an index entry.

If necessary, the list scrolls to show the next match. The keyword match may be within an index entry that is not a link.

Two types of index entry are not links:

TipIf a keyword has multiple entries, number links at the end of the entry go to the topics where the entry is discussed. For example:

relinking to media [1], [2]

You can point the mouse cursor at the number link (without clicking) to display the title of the topic where the entry is discussed.
