Install plug-ins to extend or customize Showcase
behavior and appearance. Plug-ins are only loaded when Showcase
starts up and cannot be unloaded while Showcase is running. There
are two methods of controlling which plug-ins are loaded:
- By placing the plug-in source file (.py) in the Showcase preferences
directory which is where the userPrefs.xml file
is located; for example, C:\My
Documents\Autodesk Showcase 2011.
- By using the plug-in manager dialog box,
accessible from the menu at Options > Plug-in
manager. The plug-in manager tracks the plug-ins
in a file called plugins.xml which
is in the same directory as userPrefs.xml.
