I can’t make a connection
- The
Windows 2000 operating system is not supported for online sessions.
Clients using this operating system cannot access the host machine.
- Make sure your TCP/IP configuration is
set up for the machines you are using.
Consult your Windows
help to find out how to use ping and the net view commands to test
your TCP/IP configuration.
- Make sure your network is up and active.
- Make sure your network firewalls are
not preventing your machines from reaching each other.
See your system administrator.

Note that use of this
feature may jeopardize the data on your system without the proper safeguards
in place:
- Set up an online session with trusted
participants only. Viewers (clients) can leave the session and modify
or save data. If the data comes from a network share, the data can then
be saved locally.
- This feature requires a full copy of
Internet Explorer running. Verify that your system administrator
is aware of any current Internet security issues, and that your
system has the latest virus checking software installed.
