Utilities are analytic tools that you can use to view images without changing pixel data; they are display modifiers only. Utilities are available in the Utilities folder of the Tools tab.
The utilities tools available:
| Tool | Description |
|---|---|
| Link Image | Lets you select a composition to associate with your current project and adds the Link Image tab to the tool UI . |
| Output | Lets you view the output of your composition. |
| Comparison | Lets you compare images—see Comparison Tool. |
| Freeze Frame | Lets you add the Freeze Frame tab to the tool UI where you can capture individual frames from your composition. |
| Notes | Lets you add notes to a composition—see Notes Tool. |
| Pass Through | An image tool that passes its input to its output unmodified—see Pass Through Tool. |
| Show Tiles | Lets you show the position of Composite's update tiles in the viewport.—see Show Tiles |
| Switcher | An image tool that allows you to switch between nodes—see Switcher Tool. |
