To ensure the lesson works as described, do the following steps before beginning:

1. Make sure you’ve done the steps in Preparing for the lessons.
2. (optional) Set your project to the File Referencing folder by selecting File > Project > Set, and selecting the following directory in your Getting Started folder:

   Getting Started/File Referencing

3. Open the scene file named graveyard.mb.

   If you set your project in step 2, the file appears in the default folder. If you didn’t perform step 2, this file can be found in the Getting Started directory that you set as your Maya project:

   Getting Started/File Referencing/graveyard.mb

   The scene contains a graveyard.
