You install the VRML2 translator plug-in using the Plug-in Manager.

1. Select Window > Settings/Preferences > Plug-in Manager to display the list of all known plug-ins.
2. Click the loaded check box beside vrml2Export.so (Linux), or vrml2Export.mll (Windows), or vrml2Export.lib (Mac OS X) to load the plug-in.

   If you only turn on the auto load, you must restart Maya to load the plug-in.
