Thank you for choosing Autodesk LandXplorer Publisher!

Autodesk LandXplorer Publisher is a powerful tool for integrating and exporting geographical data to the public domain of Google™ Earth. The application processes, transforms, and converts your geodata systematically and automatically into the Google Earth format; KMZ. A KMZ file is a compressed, or zipped, file that contains the Keyhole Markup Language (KML) file that describes your data as a set of features for display by Google Earth.

LandXplorer Publisher has extensive configuration options that enable you to set up and arrange your geodata to meet the individual needs of your target user group. You can choose to deliver the KMZ file directly to users or you can post it to your own Web server. By taking advantage of the Web streaming capability in Google Earth Web, you can make available, and visualize on demand, very large amounts of data. The data remains the property of the data provider and does not have to be controlled by Google. Digital rights and modern encryption mechanisms prevent any reconstruction of the original data and maintain maximum data security.

This document provides basic information about using LandXplorer Publisher. The following topics describe the data types that you can work with, and shows how to build your own city models for Google Earth. There are a large number of different settings that you can use to manipulate your geodata; these will be described in detail.
