Enhancements to Align tool

The following improvements have been made to the Object Edit > Align > Align tool.

Switching between Align operations on opposite ends of a curve or surface

If you have aligned both ends of a curve, or opposite ends of a surface, you can now edit either one of the two alignments without having to exit the Align tool and use Query Edit to retrieve the construction history on the first end.

To switch between the alignment operations, simply click on the [Activate] label that appears under Other Align next to the other end.

Maintaining Blend settings between uses of the tool

The Blending Options (Extra CV Rows and Blend factor) are now remembered between invocations of Align. As a result, instances of the Align tool with different blend settings can be stored on a shelf.

Vector Options respect construction plane axes

Every Align workflow that requires specifying a direction through the Vector Options now uses the X, Y, and Z axes from the construction plane, if one is set.

The following rules apply:

Projection Align along Z in global coordinate system

After setting a construction plane and clicking Refresh Vector, the projection is updated.

Partial renamed to Modify Range

We renamed the Partial option to Modify Range in the control window. This checkbox can now be found inside the Align Range section (previously called Partial as well) lower in the window.
