Create curves-on-surface where a surface intersects multiple planes

Create curves-on-surface where a surface intersects more than one plane. This prepares the surface to be sliced.

Set up the Intersect tool

  1. Choose Surface Edit > Create CurvesOnSurface > Intersect .

When you intersect two surfaces, you can choose which on which surfaces the curves-on-surface are created:

    • To create curves-on-surface on the surfaces on both surfaces when you intersect them, set Create Curves on Surface to Both.
    • To only create curves-on-surface on the surfaces on the first surface, set Create Curves on Surface to On First Surface.
  2. Because you want to select a number of planes first, choose Both. This will create curves-on-surface on the planes as well as the surface to be intersected.

Create curves-on-surface at the intersections between surfaces

  1. Pick the plane surfaces.
  2. Choose Surface Edit > Create CurvesOnSurface > Intersect .
  3. Click a surface that intersects the picked planes.

As you click, the tool creates curves-on-surface at the intersections.
