The VUE File Renderer creates VUE (.vue) files. VUE files use an editable ASCII format.

Procedures

To create a .vue file:

  1. Use the Render Setup dialog Assign Renderer rollout to assign the VUE File Renderer as the Production renderer.

You can't assign the VUE File Renderer to be the ActiveShade renderer.

  2. Activate a camera viewport.
NoteYou must render from a camera viewport in order to include the coordinates for the camera itself.
  3. Use the VUE File Renderer rollout to specify a file name.
  4. Render the scene.

The VUE file is written to disk. The Rendered Frame Window is displayed, but it doesn't display an image.
