SteeringWheels Properties

 
 
 

The SteeringWheels Properties window enables you to set the following options to fine tune the behavior of various SteeringWheel tools. To open it, right-click the wheel and select Properties.

At the top of the window are controls for controlling the size and opacity of the big and mini wheels. Adjust them as needed. The remaining options are described here.

Display

Show tool messages

Control whether or not SteeringWheel messages are shown.

Show tool tips

Control whether or not SteeringWheel tooltips are shown.

Walk Tool

Constrain walk movement angle to ground plane

Checked by default. Sets a constant height above the ground plane when walking. Drag the slider to change the height. Peaks and valleys are still ignored—you will walk through or over them. (To respect undulating terrain, use the Walk Zone feature; See Generate a walk zone.)

Zoom Tool

Enable incremental zoom-in

Enables incremental zoom when clicking the Zoom wedge of the Full Navigation Wheel.

Orbit Tool

Keep scene upright

Forces the Orbit tool to honor the published 'up' direction of the model. Autodesk recommends keeping this selected.

Selection sensitivity

The view rotates around the selected part or parts.
