Isolate faces or models

The Isolate toggle lets you temporarily focus on a selection of faces or a specific object, and quickly limit what displays in the scene.

  1. (Optional) Select the objects or faces you want to isolate. (You can select and isolate faces on separate objects at once.)
TipUse the hotkey V to select faces.

If there is nothing selected in the scene, isolate works on the active object.

  2. Right-click and turn on the Isolate toggle in the marking menu, or select Display > Isolate from the main menu bar.

All other objects in the scene are temporarily hidden until you turn off the Isolate toggle.

NoteThe Isolate command works independently of other show/hide options in the Display menu, so that any previously hidden objects or faces remain hidden as you toggle in and out of Isolate display.
