The Transfer Paint Layers option allows you to transfer multiple paint layers from one model to another. This option is particularly
useful, for example, if:
- You have painted textures on one set of UVs and the UVs change during production. It allows you to transfer the paint work
done onto a new mesh.
- You are working in a games environment and you have subdivided your base mesh, sculpted details, and then painted textures
for those details. It ensures that when the texture map is reapplied to the base mesh, the pixels will not be distorted.
Essentially, this option allows you to save paint work by baking it onto a new mesh with new UVs.
