Camera view

The camera view is the central area of the Viewer window and is where the contents of your scene are displayed.

The Camera Producer Perspective label, shown at the bottom left of the following figure indicates the current camera orientation.

When you open MotionBuilder, the Viewer window displays one active camera view. The camera views are your view of the scene, and can be repositioned in unlimited ways.

The default camera view is the Producer perspective, but there are other Producer camera views you can switch to at any time. You can also add your own custom cameras to view your scene.

NoteYou can change the background and grid color you see in the Camera view. See Changing the background and grid colors.

Camera orientation

Each camera view indicates which way it is facing with an axis in the bottom left corner of the Viewer window. The active display mode also displays in the Camera Label.
