Create a UV rectangle

 
 
 

The Layout rectangle command lets you create an evenly distributed UV rectangle from a selection of two vertices in the 0 to 1 texture space.

To layout UVs using the Layout rectangle feature

  1. In the scene view, select the faces you want to include in the UV rectangle.

    The faces are highlighted in the UV Texture Editor.

  2. Select the corner vertices of these faces.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • In the UV Texture Editor, select Polygons > Layout rectangle.
    • In the main menu, select Edit UVs > Layout rectangle.
  4. In the scene view, re-select the faces.

    A UV rectangle displays in the UV Texture Editor, which spans the 0 to 1 texture space.
