Create a static image file background

To create a static image file background

  1. In the image plane's Attribute Editor, set the Type attribute for the image plane to Image File (the default setting).
  2. Click the folder button for the Image Name attribute. The file browser appears.
  3. Select the image file you want to use as a background, and click Open. Maya connects the image file to the image plane.
