HELP:

You can find the administrator's help online. In addition, end user help is available for basic tasks. However, since the Data Standard dialog is fully customizable by the administrator, workflows may differ from those described in the help.

KNOWN ISSUES:

Data Standard:

  1. If you click the CAD/BOM tab in the Vault Explorer preview and only zeros are displayed, this means that the BOM view in Inventor is not enabled for Vault. Go to the Manage tab in Inventor and open up Bill of Materials. Right-click on the structured tab and select Enable BOM View. The CAD/BOM preview will work now. See the Inventor Help for more information.
  2. If Data Standard doesn't start properly in Vault Explorer, restart the Vault Client.
  3. In case the ribbon “Data Standard” is missing in AutoCAD or AutoCAD Mechanical, reload the AutoCAD Customization File “MVFApartialcui.cuix” using the AutoCAD command CUILOAD. The “MVFApartialcui.cuix” is located in folder “C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins\Autodesk DataStandard 2018.bundle\Contents\Resources\en-US”
  4. It is recommended to avoid using the commands “Add Part” or “Add Assembly” from the Productivity tools as it is currently not supported with Vault Data Standard for Inventor.
  5. A version of Data Standard might appear two times in the list of installed programs on the control panel. This happens if Data Standard is installed with different language setups. The installation of the program is correct and it will be working correctly.
  6. The tab “CAD BOM” only works with Inventor components that are marked as “Normal” in the Inventor CAD BOM. Other components might be missing.
  7. The version number that is displayed in About Dialog of Vault Data Standard for Inventor and AutoCAD is different from the one displayed in the Add-Remove Programs in Control Panel.
  8. When changing one existing frame, the Dialog for Vault Data Standard does not appear. Workaround documented on AKN: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/community/article/96596.
  9. When Requires Value is set on property with list values, the red border on the combobox doesn’t go away even after selecting one of the value resulting in disabled OK button. Workaround: Changing the Category combobox to another category and then again back helps to get rid of the red border thus enabling the OK button.
